Blue Neighbor Network
What is the Blue Neighbor Network?
The Blue Neighbor Network is a grassroots initiative by Mothers Against Greg Abbott to build strong, local connections among like-minded individuals who share a commitment to protecting democracy and creating a better future for all. By fostering relationships within neighborhoods, the network empowers people to take collective action, support progressive candidates, and fight for policies that uplift families and communities. It’s about turning neighbors into allies and creating a ripple effect of change, one block at a time.

How to get started?
You can select 25 or 50 names of strong Democrats that live next to you. We will send you cards and a list of names. You can fill out the cards and mail them or drop them off at their door. Then you wait for responses. Sample text: Hi Jane, I’m Ramona Thompson, and I’m a blue dot in a red sea. I think you might be, too? Would you like to get together for coffee?
Social Engagement
After you hear from a few people, invite them to gather for coffee, lunch, or where you feel comfortable.
- Invite some of your personal friends who are also Democrats to join you to make this a more social gathering.
- Together your group can decide on next steps.
- Tell them about what the Mothers organization is doing to help keep people informed about the Legislature, book club, etc.
- Ask if anyone wants to host or help you organize future meetings.
- Make sure to keep up social activities year around.
